ANU UNSS will be running an information session on the Sydney Model United Nations 2009 on Thursday the 15 October at Manning Clark Centre Theatre 4 at 6pm.
ANU will be sending its first-ever delegation to Sydney Model United Nations 2009. The event is a social forum for students from all over Australia to discuss global issues. It is open to all students from all discipline areas.
SydMUN is a mini-Model United Nations forum hosted by the University of Sydney United Nations Society, one of the biggest MUN societies in Australia. This year it will be held on the 4th to the 6th of December.
Please don't feel that because you are new to the society/MUNs, you don't feel 'ready' to go to an MUN forum yet. SydMUN would actually be the greatest introductory Model United Nations forum for you. It's quite casual, very social and a great way to meet new people.
ALL members NEW to the UN (and ANU UNSS) and Model United Nations are therefore strongly encouraged to attend.
It is also only a weekend, is very close, and is also one of the cheapest student conferences you will attend (considering acccommodation and food provided). Many of the MUN societies around Australia will be attending (including UQ, UNSW...).
Also anyone wishing to attend AMUNC (Asia-Pacific Model United Nations, July 2010) and/or WorldMUN is strongly advised to attend SydMUN this year.
Places are running out fast (over 75% of places have been filled already) so don’t miss out and register NOW.
