Dream it, plan it, do it: Are you 'a voice in social change'?
The 5th University Scholars Leadership Symposium will be held in Phnom Penh Cambodia, 1-7 August 2014. Team competition and applications now open. The conference includes the competition "A Voice in Social Change", where delegates can submit project proposals to help disadvantaged communities. The winner of the competition will be rewarded with USD 5,000 to implement their winning project. More information and delegate application forms from Early bird registrations close 30th April. ANU students register through the university using the attached form to waive the $30 online registration fee.

The trucks will park on Mills Rd at the front of Building 54, blocking one lane. Stop/Go traffic control will be in place for vehicles to get around the trucks. We expect the duration to be from 7.30am to 12 noon this Thursday, 28th November.

Gender Institute 2013 prizes for excellence in gender research, due 13 December
The Gender Institute is offering prizes by awarding ANU student prizes for undergraduate and graduate work completed in 2013. The total prize pool this year will be $2,500, closing date 13 December 2013. Participants will be judged on an important contribution to the research on gender and/or sexuality by a student.

SELT evaluations can now be completed on mobile devices
Student Experience of Learning and Teaching (SELT) for Semester 2 2013 are now open. Students are encouraged to complete the SELT via survey links sent to their ANU student email, or access the links via the Evaluations (SELT) block in Wattle. In addition to the previous ability to complete SELT on PCs and laptops, SELT can now be completed on mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets (both iOS and android based). Early Career Researcher Workshop- Women, peace and security in the Asia Pacific
On 6 November, from 10.00 - 12.00pm in the APCD Boardroom, Hedley Bull Centre, the ANU Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy and Gender Institute will hold a workshop for early career researchers featuring Indonesian expert Kamala Chandrakirana. The early career researchers' workshop is intended to support PhD and Masters students and ECR researchers at the ANU working on topics related to women peace and security in Asia and Pacific countries. Participants will have the opportunity to share their research and followed by discussions and inputs by the expert guest and other participants in the workshop. Places are limited to 15.
