The YWCA of Canberra and ANU Gender Institute invite you to Miss Representation, a documentary film exposing how mainstream U.S media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence.
The film features provocative interviews with politicians, journalists, entertainers, activists and academics. It presents startling facts and statistics that leave the audience shaken and armed with a new perspective.
Following the film screening, join MC Siobhan Heanue, from ABC News Canberra as she facilitates a panel discussion between:
• Fiona Jolly, CEO, Advertising Standards Bureau • Dr Roseanne Kennedy, Associate Professor, Head of Discipline, Gender Sexuality & Culture, ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences • Brede Davis, Yr 12 student, Narrabundah College
Cost: $15 Adult $10 Members and concession
