ANU Asia Pacific Week (APW) brings together leading experts on the Asia Pacific region and 100 delegates from around the world to engage in a series of dynamic discussions and events focused on developments and trends that will shape the ‘Asia Pacific Century’.
The conference will be held from 8 to 13 July 2012 at the ANU Acton campus in Canberra, Australia.
The week will begin with a panel on the soon to be released "Australia in the Asia Century" white paper, chaired by Dr Ken Henry. Other speakers will include Professor Peter Drysdale, Professor Hugh White, Jenny McGregor and Mr Zhao Jianfei. Other panels include: a debate on the future of foreign aid between Professors Stephen Howes and Hugh White; a pub style debate on Asia versus Europe led by Doctors Nicholas Farrelly and Ben Wellings; a wargames session focusing on potential conflict on the South China Sea; as well as the return of the popular Master Blogger challenge!
