Sites of Convergence: Series #3 by Jo-Anne Duggan
Monday, 21 July 2008 - Friday, 1 August 2008
ANU School of Art
Sites of Convergence: Series #3 is a photographic exhibition that focuses on the interior architecture of public buildings significant to Italian communities, initially in Italy and subsequently in Australia. The initial part of this project was photographed in the Tuscan town of Prato, in the interiors of the monastery of San Niccolò, the Cicognini College, and the Palazzo Comunale. The second part was created in Daylesford and the Hepburn Shire, in Victoria. Even though dramatically removed in time and space, Daylesford offers an effective counterpoint for investigation.

Coombs Extension, Building 8, Fellows Road
The Centre for Korean Studies' lunchtime colloquium series aims to draw together teachers, researchers and post graduate students working on Korea and to provide a forum in which they can present their research to their academic peers. The papers are expected to be finished pieces of research, such as articles due for publication, recently published materials, completed chapters of a book or thesis, and so forth. The presenter will speak their paper and then a discussant will give a brief response, followed by time for general discussion. So as to best facilitate vigorous and lively discussion, papers will be circulated in advance of the presentation and participants are strongly urged to come prepared with questions.
